DCC and the Test Track at expoEM Bracknell May 2024
Following the successful trial of DCC at the AGM, the Society has purchased an NCE PowerCab for the Test Track and this will now form a standard part of the Test
track functionality for both the EM and P4 tracks.
All members wishing to test their DCC locos are invited to do so at the Spring expoEM at Bracknell.
If you wish to try out your loco’s momentum and braking settings without it plunging off the end of your home based test plank then you are welcome to do so safe in the knowledge that at Bracknell it will just keep going round !
Also if you are interested in the potential of DCC but wary of spending serious money just on the off-chance that it might suit you, then it is quite possible there could be a DCC sound equipped loco on the test track for you to try out to help you make up your mind without any pressure to buy.

Test Track and DCC at the AGM
For all those coming to the AGM the Test Track (courtesy of my latest Xmas present !!) will be offering a DCC facility using an NCE Power-Cab.
Those of you wanting to test out loco acceleration and momentum without shooting off the end of your shunting plank are invited to try out your DCC loco under extended running conditions.
For those of you who have not tried out DCC I will also be bringing a couple of diesel locos for you to have a hands on experience of sound equipped DCC locos at no cost to yourself.
