Replacement Manual Sheet
Manual Sheet 4.1.2.2.(1) Regauging Bachmann Birdcage coaches using KEMBU Issue 1 has been retitled and upgraded to 4.1.2.2.(1) Regauging Bachmann Coaches using KEMBU Issue 2 to take into account some changes in fitting KEMBU based on further practical experience, and its applicability to the new Bachmann LNWR coach range. It will be issued in print format as soon as an available slot can be found.
UPDATE – Replacement manual sheet will be issued with Newsletter 247 January issue.
AGM – Stewards needed
We are glad to advise that a venue for the Members Day/AGM has been selected.
The date is Saturday 1st February 2025 at Ashover Parish Hall, Milken Lane, Ashover, Chesterfield S45 0B
Furthermore we have a few layouts, demonstrators and traders arranged with more being sought.
The issue now is we need help. A small team of local members to assist on the day.
The tasks will involve helping layout operators to set up and possible gives cover during their lunch break if required – Assisting with the competition administration – Catering too would be helpful – Plus general stewarding.

New Technical Paper

A new Technical Paper has been added to the website in the Section “Technical Papers -only available on-line” – TP-9.1.1(1) Simplified Alex Jackson Couplings by John Cutler.
The paper offers a modified and more easily implemented version of the Alex Jackson coupling and addresses some of the issues that may arise with these couplings. John is happy to take queries on this paper via the Forum.

A revised Technical Paper for the Bachmann BR Standard Class 4-6-0 Conversion to EM by Pete Hill has been placed on the website – This revised paper now incorporates the 77 photos originally separated from the Technical Papers section of the website.
