Has anyone used the Gaugemaster GM 60 to clean EM gauge loco wheels? I ask because I have one for ‘N’ gauge (for my 009 project) and it works really well but I don’t have an EM gauge loco to try the OO/HO version.

Any other suggestions other than the old cotton bud/IPA and inverted loco cushion.

        Cheers

        David

I have used it successfully on most locos. BUT, I have some Bachmann locos that I have pulled the wheels out to EM gauge that work fine, and other Bachmann locos that fail dreadfully. It depends on whether the Bachman locos have a rubber retainer at the end of the axle. if so, the wheels wobble off when you clean them. An example is the 64xx, but perhaps other recent introductions would suffer the same consequences. I am rewheeling this loco as a consequence.

Thanks – that does help. I don’t have any Bachmann (at least not yet)
