I’ve recently close coupled the tender using the drawbar supplied. It looks great and will just about shunt though 36inch radius turnouts. However I’ve experienced intermittent loss of power and wonder whether the drawbar now rubs the tender plug – there’s paint wear on the end of the drawbar. Has anyone experience or suggestions? I was considering making a new drawbar to slightly improve the clearance.

PS it’s a DC loco without a chip.
