I have read Pete Hill’s article on converting the BR Standard to EM. My question is : Is it possible to convert this loco, and maybe a 9f to P4 using the same method but using P4 wheels and axles from Alan Gibson; or would there be significantly more involved in a P4 conversion?

Although I have not done one to P4, I see no reason why a P4/S4 conversion could not be done in the same way, as there appears enough clearance, certainly on the 9F.
