No doubt most of us are familiar with BluTack or White Tack. I came across Black Tack which is quite a bit stickier than those. It is a good alternative to Tacky Wax. Apparently it is designed for temporarily holding photographers’ small props but is also being marketed for securing DCC chips and speakers. Small dots of this are perfect for holding lamps to locos or for destination boards/disks etc. As it is a black putty, I shall be using some to permanently fill some small offending holes in locos. I bought mine (1 metre in a handy tape form) from Strathpepper Junction for £4.15 plus postage via eBay.
