AGM Urgent Help Needed

As I am sure you are aware we try to hold the AGM/Members’ Days in different areas of the country every year. In 2024 it was held near Weston super Mare and the year before in Thirsk. If possible we would like to hold the next AGM somewhere in the middle of the country around the Birmingham/Nottingham area if possible, although we are open to other suggestions.

To hold this event it needs a small team of local members to do the basic organising such as finding a suitable venue for two days (the Board hold an all day meeting on the day after the AGM), contacting traders with invitations to attend, getting three or more layouts and above all some demonstrators. Catering too would be helpful. The Board will do all it can to assist the group and, as Secretary, I would produce all the necessary paperwork and arrange accommodation as necessary.

I have considered trying to hold the event in the London area but a lack of suitable and affordable venues, accommodation and above all the Mayor of London have made it almost impossible (ULEZ, parking, congestion zone etc).
