    i have also converted a couple of Lima models using the same technique

     

    Thanks John – hadn’t seen that particular manual (not sure why but then there are a lot of them!)

    The issue is the integration of the driving gears into the rear of the wheels i.e. no gear in the centre of the axles due to the arrangement of the ringfield motor (axis across the chassis rather than along it).

    I suspect I’ll have to try to scratch build a bogie unless I can come across a more modern class 47 bogie on ebay or at a show……
