I started the body a while ago, mainly to check clearances, and with the motor sticking up a little I decided to replace the cast tank top/boiler with a brass one to gain an extra couple of mm. I think the spectacle windows go a little too low and they require attention as they should be almost square. This will allow the L-shaped flange between tank top and spectacle plate to be installed under the windows.
I’ve also made up the cylinder/slidebar/crosshead assemblies, and they are fine, except that there is negative clearance against the leading crankpin, a problem with using Markits wheels in EM of course, so a period of fiddling and bodging is now required !
