In my 7mm/ft kit build, I followed the RTR practice of attaching small neodymium magnets to each corner. I used them top and bottom, taking note of the polarity. Those on the cab roof are captive, which is better. Those on the cab proper rely on the grip of cyano gel to keep them attached. I have toyed with just using one set of magnets, with a strip of tinplate on the roof, but enjoy twice the pulling power with the illustrated setup.
