Having Markits wheels, which I don’t normally use, enables me to temporarily assemble a running unit, with compensation beam, from brass rod. The next step will be to complete the gearbox and try it under power. These are reasonably modern Markits wheels but not the latest kind with stainless steel tyres and the treads really stand out, but hopefully will be less obvious when complete!
