That, Stuart, looks really effective. Reminds me of “Inkerman St”. I think the true-to-life appearance of ready-printed paper makes up for the lack of relief, especially in the smaller scales. Another trick I’d not seen before was illustrated by Neil Rushby over on Western Thunder – a well-drawn monochrome urban skyline, which was the most convincing I’d seen. I’ve included one of Neil’s photos in case they reproduce as thumbnails in the link, which doesn’t do his artistry justice.
