Thanks Ray. I haven’t tried the Woodland Scenics product but I do use Carr’s Microgrease which claims to have a ‘flouro-silicone’ base; I suspect they are similar, though not sure where I would get more of the Carr’s product now. I would agree that spur drives are inherently noisy, and I suspect the earlier Mainline-engineered ones are worse than the later Bachmann with the large worm and the 6mm axles.

I see that the 5920 5mm bush has now disappeared from the Stores list. It was on sale some time ago. As John notes, the later 6mm bush and axle sets are still listed, and hopefully they are what you need.
