Thank you to all who were able to come and see the layout at the Ally Pally show! We were delighted with the interest it generated and privileged to hear several people tell us of their memories of the London dock railways. Hopefully more will come of those contacts.
In its very evidently semi-scenic state, the layout ran rather well; the operators are still learning how best to follow the schedule (see part 4, ‘Operating schedule’ above: https://emgs.org/members-forum/topic/orchard-wharf-the-model-railway-club/#post-253958).
Since the show, there hasn’t yet been an opportunity for the team to meet and debrief. But I have seen a long list of tasks, improvements etc so it’s safe to assume there is no complacency on this project! I’ll continue with the overview of the layout soon.
