Yes Nigel, the kickback sidings would have a train in each if possible and the fiddleyard operator would move a train from the left or right and park it on the through road which are the outer roads on both up and down, while this is happening another train might be running round the layout and returning to it’s designated loop road then the layout operator would take the parked train round and return it to the through road and the fiddleyard operator would return that train to it’s kickback siding and maybe setup a second one while another train might be circulating. It can all be done by the front operator if the trains are running at a scale speed especially the slow freights. So the trains are only shunted out of or into the kickbacks, It work well at it’s first show in February.
