John
As Treasurer may I answer some of the points you made in your post.
The term Fixtures & Fittings is the standard term, in accounting parlance, for these items held in the asset register and as I said at the AGM this account has been left with £2 in it to show we have the RTR track and various other items (such as display stands and trophies) as assets that may have some value even though they have been fully depreciated.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the figures to hand to answer your question so I can’t give you an immediate answer as to whether the set up costs of the RTR points have been covered by sales of this product but will look into it and report back. In the meantime John Wragg, who as trade officer holds these figures, may be better placed to answer your question.
The Board is continuously looking at investing more money in tooling for track at other products.
Some of the funds held by the society will be used for the last item but in the meantime I have placed excess funds on an immediate access deposit account with our bankers, and am looking at transferring some funds to instant access deposit accounts to earn higher interest than we receive from our High Street bankers.
