        Hi Everyone!
First post and really impressed with the web site!
Live in Australia and have a first release Hattons Garratt to convert. I would like to keep the original wheels (unless there are some issues doing that) and hope just longer 2.5mm axles will do the trick from the Trade Store.
Does anyone know if this has been done before, that is keeping original wheels rather then AG replacements?

          Hello Jeff,
I’m not sure if it can be done using the original wheels, there may be clearance issues, if I remember correctly.

I did one soon after they came out using Alan Gibson wheels, and it formed the basis for an article with plenty of pictures in the very first issue of Finescale Railway Modelling Review in summer 2014 (Bob Barlow’s magazine of which there were only 3 issues), if you can find one.
Good luck with it…..disassembly is not easy as much of the chassis is glued rather than screwed together!
