Some years ago I created an automatic OO gauge layout entitled Little Dublow – long since dismantled.

One of my next projects is an EM gauge replacement, entitled Coggeshall/Silfield Road. . I’m using a 3-channel Herkat  track occupancy relay and a proprietary multi-function timer.

I’ll put some stuff in the Newsletter at some point.

Update: I decided I can do without the Herkat.

I’m now using a proprietary multifunction timer set to 36sec. The timer operates a relay that reversed the traction power polarity, and the motive unit stops on a diode-protected track section (I used the same technique on Little Dublow).

          Track down; let testing commence!

            Nick,

This sounds fascinating! Will the electronics accelerate and decelerate the trains as they leave/enter the stations as well?

              I’m not that clever.

I suspect you probably are if you really put your mind to it… 😊

I’m sure he is, though this is all way beyond my understanding…
