Thanks. That Ultrascale conversion confirms that the Accurascale coupling rods are one-piece and not articulated. So the chassis is not compensated or sprung. It will not cope with my awful trackwork or, I suspect, in most modellers’ yards. Despite temptation, I am resisting buying one as it will turn out to be an expensive impractical mistake. Beautiful but ultimately poorly engineered.
I will stick with my old Bachmann pannier.
