I got one as well today.
I responded and was asked to buy gift cards for the daughter of a friend who has lost both parents to Covid and now has cancer.
Basically the scam is you buy gift cards and then they cash them in.
Needless to say that I responded with some choice insults about them and their mother (always a good one). I have alerted Mike and of course blocked the e-mail.
Do not buy gift cards and do not hand over the code hidden under the foil.
Do not send them money or give your address details
