 Other Information : Recently introduced: Finescale flatbottom track using soldered construction on PCB.  Currently only available for plain track but turnouts to follow.  Recommended to be used with EMGS Flatbottom Code 83 rail.

Colin’s products include brass etches in 0.2mm material of various handwheels and ladders. All the wheels are of laminated construction, to give near scale finished thickness without compromising detail. All packs come supplied with materials to complete the assembly, with the exception of solder.

Colin will be demonstrating his range of products at the forthcoming expoEM Bracknell over the weekend of 16th and 17th May 2009.

CC01D: Etch for 5 different types of 18” Handwheels. A 6th type can be also made by splitting the appropriate laminates (32 wheels total). Supplied complete with brass wire rod for wheel shafts, and dishing jig.
CC02D: Etch to make handwheels for 4 Sealion / Seacow hopper wagons (32 wheels total). Supplied complete with brass wire rod for wheel shafts.
CC03D: Etch to make handwheels for 4 Dogfish wagons (20 wheels total). Also appropriate for the Catfish for which additional 15” brake handwheels are available in CC05D. Supplied complete with brass wire rod for wheel shafts / hopper wheel handles, and dishing jig.
CC04D: Etch to make 5 Ladders 91mm long. Supplied complete with 0.25mm brass wire for rungs and jigs for 10” and 12” wide ladders.
CC05D: Etch to make 5 pairs of 15” curly spoke handwheels. Supplied complete with brass wire rod for wheel shafts.
CC06D: Etch to make further variations of modern UK built wagon handwheels. 18” wheels with 4 curly spokes and 5 plain spokes, 15” wheels with 6 spokes, and 28” wheels with 6 spokes (24 wheels total). Supplied complete with brass wire rod for wheel shafts, and dishing jig for the 18” 5 spoke wheels.
CC07D: Etch to make a variety of 2, and 3 spoke European type handwheels, The 2 spoke wheels are use for load valves and door operating systems to differentiate them from brake wheels (24 wheels total). Supplied complete with brass wire rod for wheel shafts.

CC01K: Finescale etched brass kit for FFA / FGA Container Flats.
Available for P4, EM or OO in 2, 3, 4, or 5 wagon sets. Etched brass frame (with option to fit splash plates as originally built - up to mid 1980s), rigid bar coupler, and loose screw couplings (as on the prototypes). Sprung Oleo buffers with brass shanks and steel heads. Pewter brake fittings (air reservoir, distributor, and variable load valves), and container twistlocks (with option of MkI or MkII types)
Etched brass sprung bogie frames (including the visible brake beams), with pewter side frames (a mix of 4 visibly different variants of the Ride Control MkIII).
