SALE OF BRANCHLINES The sale of the business as a complete concern took place on 30th May 2008. Accordingly the former proprietor of Branchlines (Andrew Mullins) has no longer any commercial or financial interest whatsoever (directly or indirectly) with Branchlines. The new owners of Branchlines are Mr and Mrs B. R. Osborne of Westbury. All telephone calls and mail to the former Exeter address of Branchlines will be redirected for a 6 month period. Any outstanding orders etc. should be sent to the new owners. Businesss hours: Monday to Thursday 9.30-1.00pm and 2.00-5.00 Andrew and Catherine Mullins started Branchlines as a manufacturer of etched brass kits of pre-Group carriages and vans in the late 1980s. The business developed to include the largest range of gearbox kits and imported electric motors and other accessories suitable for those building kits or enhancing the appearance and performance of their models. Then came the kits and products for those modelling narrow gauge railways, especially for O/16.5 and in 4mm scale, the Isle of Man and Irish railways. Other products in the range cover Midland Railway carriages and Southern Electrics. Branchlines also introduced the now widely used Black Beetle motor bogies to the UK market. The products have been exported world-wide as well as being popular when purchased either by mail order or at the Branchlines stand at exhibitions. The new owners intend to maintain the business in its well established form. January 2009
